The Artist L.U.V. was born Brian Johnson in Tampa, Florida. At, the tender age of 8, L.U.V. was uprooted and moved to Texas' "Mecca of Music", Houston. L.U.V. developed a love for music by watching and listening to the likes of Timbaland, Prince and Rodney Jerkins. L.U.V. began crafting his own songs at the age of 10 and even appeared in a few local commercials in H-town after studying actin with Charnell Brown of "A Different World" fame. He also started singing in the Westfield High School Choral in the later years of his education. He then went on to study his music in an effort to hone his skills as a producer. After graduating high school, L.U.V. studied commercial music and learned about studio production. The foundation was set, and The Artist L.U.V. was born and poised for success.
The Artist L.U.V. (which stands for "Living an Under-estimated Vision) has become one of the most well-rounded artists in the underground today, delving in everything from singing and rapping to producing and engineering. He hands made quite a name for himself opening up for mainstream artists like T-Pain, Young Buck and Lil Wayne. Now a member of So Random roster, L.U.V. has released two official mixtapes The L.U.V. Life Mixtape Vol. 1 and Bright Lights Mixtape Vol. 1. He appeared on the underground banger "Another One" with Hoodstar Chantz, which was featured here on THEURBANADVOCATE.COM last year, as well as many other viral media outlets. L.U.V. shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon with Bright Lights Mixtape Vol. 2 and the Bright Lights EP slated to drop as soon as October.
The Artist L.U.V. has been preparing himself for a career in the music industry since the age of 10. Now, there isn't anything this young prodigy is incapable of doing. The sky is the limit for this singer/songwriter/rapper/producer.
